Our client is a global US owned organisation that specialise in Bio Pharma sciences.They are currently recruiting for several positions at their Swindon based site through continued expansion and growth.
The position is a permanent full time role and will report into the Production/CI Manager and is available as a continental night shift. Current requirements mean the client will be recruiting two of these positions.
As a key member of the Production Team, your remit will be to co-ordinate all activities associated with manufacturing areas, within budget and in a timely manner.
Specifically your responsibilities are for the operational performance of the manufacturing team to achieve business objectives for volume, quality and waste levels, initiating a hands on approach when necessary.
To be heavily involved with the CI process and drive the involvement of all team members in CI activities covering waste reduction, productivity, safety and quality improvement measures.
Ensure strict compliance to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems and promote compliance to GMP standards at all times, including provision of personal protective equipment where required.
Participate in the recruitment of new associates and the development of existing team members by ongoing assessment of each individual as part of part of the company appraisal scheme.
Control and manage overtime within budgeted levels; run and co-ordinate shift start up meetings to ensure smooth handover, encouraging open communication between the incoming and outgoing shifts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive management skills and will have run large teams of individuals within a manufacturing environment. You will have excellent problem solving skills and be a superlative communicator at all levels.Extensive experience of manufacturing processes and good understanding of Injection moulding, setting machines, multi cavity mould tools in a med/high volume manufacturing environment are essential, as are strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
Salary: Base £24,882 46% shift allowance; total £36,328. Continental night shift, three on three off from 10.00pm-10.00am
